Swedish Body Massage

Swedish Body Massage was first developed in the 18th Century by Per Henrik Ling, a Swedish Gymnast.

The Massage treatment stimulates blood circulation, helps improve lymphatic drainage to eliminate toxins and fatty deposits from the system and can improve muscle tone. Using warm pre-blended aromatherapy oils, the massage can be relaxing or invigorating, depending on the client’s requirements. Can be very effective as part of a slimming program to tone and firm the skin.

Regular Swedish Body Massage can help with

  • Sore and aching muscles
  • Tension headaches
  • Stiff neck and shoulders
  • Dry skin

Deep Tissue Massage

I have recently attended a Deep Tissue Massage Masterclass and have learnt techniques for working deeper, more effectively to relieve painful, knotted muscles which many suffer from nowadays as many occupations require people to use Computers for long periods. Extensive use, sitting in one position, can cause cramp, pain and discomfort. This is a very useful method of dispersing the build up, increasing mobility and bringing relief. Using a firm pressure with fingertips, knuckles, hands, elbows and forearms to increase the blood flow and improve oxygen supply to the tissues of the body. Increased blood flow encourages the removal of toxins, such as lactic acid build up in over strained muscles and speeds up the body’s own healing processes.

The benefits of a deeper massage include an increased blood circulation bringing soothing warmth to the problem area. It can help eliminate scar tissue build up and bring relief from chronic muscular tension, which in turn causes pain, headaches, bad posture etc

Body & Sole

If you have a stiff neck & shoulders and sore feet, why not have a firm massage to release all your knotted muscles using a warming blend of Juniper and Ginger essential oils. Then a relaxing foot massage to finish which will send you off with the spring put back in your step.
